GEORGIA PECAN CAKE | |
1 qt. pecans (chopped) 1 1/2 oz. lemon extract 4 c. flour 2 c. sugar 2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 6 eggs 1 lb. butter 1 lb. fruit cake mix Sprinkle lemon extract over pecans; allow to set overnight, tightly closed. Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, one at a time. Beat after each. Add dry ingredients; beat, then add fruit cake mix and nuts. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. This cake is best baked in a tube pan. |
