TEXAS HASH 
2 lg. onions, sliced
2 tbsp. Crisco
2 c. canned stewed tomatoes
1 tsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 green peppers, cut fine
1 lb. real lean hamburger
1/2 c. uncooked rice
1 tsp. salt

Cook onions and green pepper in Crisco until onions are yellow and then saute hamburger in this; add tomatoes, rice and seasonings. Put in casserole and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until done.
