DANISH MEAT CAKES 
2 lbs. ground beef
1 sm. onion, chopped fine
1 egg
2 tbsp. flour
Salt & pepper to taste
Shortening
2 lg. onions, sliced
4 tbsp. flour
2 c. boiling water
2 bouillon cubes
Salt & pepper to taste
Dash of Worcestershire sauce

In a bowl place beef, onion, egg, flour, salt and pepper and mix well. Make large patties and brown on both sides in shortening. Remove from pan and put on plate. Reduce heat and add onions and cook until tender. Sprinkle flour and add water and bouillon cubes and stir until smooth and thick. Add salt and pepper to taste and Worcestershire sauce. Return patties to pan and cook 15 minutes, turning once.
