BAKED ACORN SQUASH 
4 med. acorn squash
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. tawny port
1/4 c. maple blended syrup
1 (14 oz.) jar cranberry orange relish or 1 1/2 c. your own cranberry orange relish

Cut squash in half. Place in shallow pan. Rub salt and pepper into flesh. In center cavity, place 1 tablespoon butter, 1 1/2 teaspoon tawny port and the maple syrup. Pour a little hot water into pan. Cover with foil and bake 30 to 40 minutes at 375 degrees or until tender.

Combine any cooking liquid from squash halves with cranberry relish. Heat and stir to mix well. Fill each half with 2 tablespoons of relish and serve as remaining relish along side.
