STRAWBERRY JAM BREAD 
3 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. butter, softened
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. lemon juice
4 eggs, or 5 egg whites
1 c. strawberry jam
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 c. chopped nuts

Combine flour, salt, cream of tartar and soda; set aside. Combine sugar, butter, vanilla and lemon juice. Cream until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well. Stir in jam and buttermilk. Slowly add dry ingredients, just mixing until blended. Stir in nuts. Spoon into greased loaf pans bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes or until bread tests done. Cool 15 minutes before removing from pans.
