BUTTER ROLLS | |
Grandmother made from scratch buttermilk biscuits to do this, but I've improvised using bought canned biscuits. Take the canned biscuits out one at a time and do the following: Pat out flat. Put 1 pat of butter on the flattened biscuit. Put a full teaspoon of sugar and 2 drops of vanilla on the butter. Now pinch the biscuit together so that all the ingredients will stay inside. Put into a baking dish with the pinched side down. Now fill the dish (once you have finished all the biscuits) with water until it reached near the top of the biscuits. Bake in the oven until the biscuits are browned. Now mix 1 small can Pet milk, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Add to the liquid mixture and continue cooking a while longer. The butter rolls are delicious and quite rich. |
