GOULASH 
1 lb. ground beef
2 tbsp. bacon drippings
1 c. (or 1 lg.) onion, chopped
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/4 tsp. oregano
1 lg. can tomatoes
1 pkg. (8 oz.) macaroni
2 c. grated sharp cheese

Lightly brown meat in drippings, breaking up meat as it cooks. Add onion and other ingredients except tomatoes. Simmer 5 minutes, then add tomatoes. Cover and simmer 30 minutes. Meanwhile cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain. Place in a casserole dish by layers - macaroni, meat sauce and cheese. Cook until cheese is melted on top.
