SNICKERDOODLE COOKIES 
1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. sugar

Cream shortening, sugar, eggs and mix thoroughly. Sift together flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Combine dry ingredients. Roll balls in mixture of 2 teaspoons sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon. Place 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet and bake 10 minutes at 400 degrees. Makes from 60 to 80 cookies.

Roll balls size of a walnut. You can mix a cup of coconut in mixture and roll balls, not using any cinnamon or sugar.
