1 c. shortening (part butter)
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. unsifted flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

Roll into balls. Roll in mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
