DOUBLE BATCH CHOCOLATE CHIP
COOKIES
 
5 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. salt
2 c. shortening (butter flavor opt.)
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
1 bag chocolate chips
M & M's (opt.)
Nuts (opt.)

Cream shortening and sugars. Add vanilla and eggs. Mix in dry ingredients, small amounts at a time. Add chocolate chips. Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes, cookies will be soft, light golden brown.
