BELGIAN PORK WITH SAUERKRAUT 
1 lb. lean center cut pork chops, cut about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick
Salt & pepper
2 c. undrained sauerkraut
1 med. onion, thinly sliced
1 lg. apple, thinly sliced
2 tbsp. parsley, chopped
2 tsp. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. allspice

Spray a large skillet with non-stick vegetable cooking spray. Over medium heat brown pork chops on both sides; sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In 8 inch square baking dish, toss sauerkraut, onion, 1/2 the apple slices, parsley, brown sugar, allspice and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Lay pork chops on top of sauerkraut and top with remaining apple slices. Cover and bake for 1 hour, or until pork is tender. Makes 4 servings, about 290 calories each.
