WALNUT COFFEE CAKE | |
1 1/2 sticks butter 1 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 2 eggs 2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. sour cream 1/4 c. brown sugar 1/4 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 c. chopped nuts Cream butter and 1 cup sugar, add vanilla and eggs. Beat well. Add flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Mix in sour cream. Spread evenly into a greased round cake pan - 10 inch - for the topping, mix together with the 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup white sugar, cinnamon and walnuts. Sprinkle over top of batter. Bake 45 to 55 minutes at 350 degrees. |
