SLIPPERY DUMPLINGS 
3 c. flour
3 tsp. salt
4 rounded tbsp. shortening
1 c. warm chicken stock
4 qts. chicken broth

In food processor, add flour, salt and shortening. Mix. Add warm chicken broth slowly, until forms ball. Handle dough lightly, break off enough as you would for a pie crust. Roll thin on floured board. Cut. Continue to roll all of dough out, sprinkling flour between layers of dumplings.

Drop in boiling broth. After all dumplings have been dropped, stir and turn down heat. Cook 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve hot with chicken.
