MACARONI AND SAUSAGE CASSEROLE | |
1 (8 oz.) pkg. elbow macaroni 1 lb. bulk pork sausage 1/2 c. chopped onion 1/2 c. green pepper strips 3 tbsp. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 2 c. milk 2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese Brown sausage in pan. Cook elbow macaroni and drain. Remove half the sausage. Saute onion and peppers with remaining sausages. Stir in flour and salt. Slowly add milk, stir until thick. Stir in half of cheese. Add macaroni and pour into greased 2 quart casserole. Top with other 1/2 of cheese and reserved sausage. Bake in 400 degree oven for 25 minutes or until golden brown. 6 servings. |
