CHINESE CABBAGE WITH ONIONS 
1 head Chinese cabbage
2 tbsp. oil or butter
1 lg. onion, cubed
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
Salt to taste

Cut cabbage into shreds and place it, dripping wet, into kettle with 1 tablespoon oil or butter. Season with salt and cayenne pepper to taste. Cover tightly and let cook in its own steam. Fry cubed onion in 1 tablespoon oil or butter until slightly brown. Add cabbage and fry together until golden brown.
