1/4 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. each nutmeg, cinnamon, soda
1 c. flour
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
2 1/2 c. chopped apples
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix all ingredients together. Pour in round 9 inch pie tin, lightly greased. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees

SAUCE:

1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. cream
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. rum

Heat and bring to boil to dissolve sugar. Serve hot over hot apple cake pie.
