1 1/4 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 c. sour milk
1 tsp. baking soda
3 tsp. lemon
3 to 4 c. flour
Yellow food coloring

Combine sugar, shortening, salt and food coloring. Blend thoroughly. Add remaining ingredients mixing well. Roll out small portion at a time. Cut with round cutter.

Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes.
