DATE AND NUT BALLS 
3 1/2 c. Rice Krispies
1 c. pecans (cut fine)
1/3 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. dates (cut fine)
2 eggs (beaten slightly)
1 tsp. vanilla

Put Rice Krispies and pecans in a large bowl. Mix together. Set to one side. Place butter, brown sugar, dates, eggs in a frying pan and cook over low heat until butter and sugar is melted stirring constantly.

Cook until mixture begins to coat bottom of pan and gets thick. Just before you remove from heat, add vanilla, a little cinnamon when above is done.

Pour over Rice Krispies mixture gently. Roll into small balls and then into coconut.
