CHEESE SOUFFLE 
8 slices white bread, cubed
1/2 lb. mild Cheddar cheese, grated
1 stick butter
2 c. milk
3 eggs
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper

Alternate layers of bread, cheese and butter in buttered baking dish. Mix eggs, slightly beaten, with milk and seasoning. Pour this over casserole. Let stand for several hours, even overnight, before baking 1 hour uncovered at 350 degrees.
