ORANGE SLICE CAKE 
4 eggs
1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
4 c. plain cake flour, sifted
1 c. pecans, cut up
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 can Angel Flake Coconut
1 lb orange slice candy, cut up
1/2 c. buttermilk

Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Dust nuts, dates and candy with 1/2 cup flour. Add soda to buttermilk and milk to flour and combine all ingredients. Bake 2 1/2 hours at 250 degrees in tube pan. Let cool 30 minutes. Add filling.

FILLING:

2 c. powdered sugar, sifted
1 c. orange juice from orange

Mix well and spoon over cake, letting drizzle over sides.
