CHILI CON CARNE 
1/2 lb. ground beef
1 med. onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp. shortening
1 can (1 1/4 c.) Campbell's tomato soup
1 tbsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. salt
5 c. cooked kidney beans
Dash of black pepper
Dash of red pepper

Cook beef, onion and garlic, in shortening, until lightly browned. Add soup, seasonings and kidney beans. Cover and cook slowly for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve with crisp crackers and relishes. Serves 6.
