BARBECUED CHILI CON CARNE 
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. onion, chopped
1/4 c. green pepper, chopped
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. chili powder
1 (15 1/4 oz.) can red kidney beans
1 (16 oz.) can whole tomatoes
3/4 c. all purpose barbecue sauce

Brown beef, onion and green pepper in a skillet or heavy saucepan. Pour off any excess fat. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve over hot cooked rice, if desired. Makes 5 3/4 cups or 6 servings.
