FRENCH BREAD 
4 c. white flour
1 tbsp. dry yeast (1 packet)
1 tbsp. salt
1 tbsp. sugar
2 c. hot water

In large mixing bowl add flour, yeast, sugar, and salt and mix. Then add 2 cups hot water; stir. Cover bowl with plastic; let rise 4-5 hours in warm spot.

Part in 3. Make rectangles on floured board, then roll on long side (like a jelly roll). Put on greased cookie sheet, seam side down. Sprinkle tops with corn meal.

Put in cold oven with bowl of hot water for 1/2 hour. Bread and water in oven, turn oven to 375 degrees. Bake for 30 minutes.
