WHOLE WHEAT WAFFLES 
4 eggs, separated
3 tbsp. oil
2 c. whole wheat flour (pastry)
1 c. milk
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. sunflower (optional)

Combine the egg yolks, milk and oil together. Stir together in a separate bowl the baking powder, flour and sunflower seeds. Add the milk mixture to the flour mixture and mix lightly. Beat the egg whites stiff, but not dry. Fold the whites into the batter. Spoon mixture onto a hot waffle iron and bake until golden brown. Makes 7 waffles.
