GRANDMA'S GINGER COOKIES 
2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. molasses
4 1/2 tsp. baking soda
6 1/2 c. flour

Mix everything together. Form into balls. Roll in sugar and place on cookie sheet. Press down with glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
