BROWNIE PIE 
3 egg whites
Dash salt
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. fine chocolate wafer crumbs
1/2 c. chopped California walnuts
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Sweetened whipped cream

Beat egg whites and salt (peaks form gradually). Add sugar beating until stiff peaks form. Fold in crumbs, nuts and vanilla; spread evenly in lightly buttered 9 inch pie plate. Bake in slow oven 325 degrees about 35 minutes. Cool thoroughly. Spread top with sweetened whipped cream; chill well 3 to 4 hours. Trim with crumbs of shaved unsweetened chocolate before serving.
