PERSIMMON BARS 
1 c. persimmon pulp
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. oil
1 c. sugar
1 c. chopped walnuts
1 c. raisins
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. each of salt, cinnamon, nutmeg
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. cloves

Mix pulp with soda and set aside. Combine oil, sugar, nuts and raisins. Add flour, spices and salt; add persimmons and soda mixture. Blend well.

Pour into 9 x 13 greased pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Glaze with lemon juice and powdered sugar while still warm. Cut into squares.
