4 c. unsifted flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda,
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 c. salad oil
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. sugar
1 c. soft butter
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine first 4 ingredients and set aside. Cream the next 4 in large mixer bowl until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla. Continue beating while adding dry ingredients.

Place by spoonsful onto ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with greased glass dipped in sugar.

Bake 8-10 minutes at 350°F. Cool on rack.
