1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream butter and sugar. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Add sifted dry ingredients. Mix well. Chill thoroughly. Roll out dough to 1/4 inch thickness on floured surface.

Cut out with cookie cutters. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 6-8 minutes. Makes 2-3 dozen.
