1 c. sugar 1 c. powdered sugar 1 c. butter 1 c. oil 2 beaten eggs 2 tsp. vanilla 5 c. sifted flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. cream of tartar 1/2 tsp. salt Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs. Combine with remaining ingredients and mix well. Make into balls about size of a walnut. Place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Press down some with the bottom of a glass, greased and dipped in sugar. Bake until light brown, about 375 degrees. Watch close as they burn easily. |
