SPINACH SALAD AND DRESSING 
1 pkg. fresh spinach (do not cook)
1 sm. onion, chopped fine
1/4 lb. bacon, fried and broken in pieces (do not use drippings in salad)

DRESSING:

3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. vinegar
1 egg, well beaten

Mix dressing ingredients in pan and bring to a tumbling boil. Slightly cool. Pour over the well-washed spinach. Add bacon pieces and onions and toss. Serve immediately.
