BLONDE BROWNIES 
1/4 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. water
1/3 c. coconut
1/3 c. walnuts

Melt butter over low heat in medium saucepan. Remove from heat and stir in brown sugar until well blended. Cool, and stir in egg. In another bowl, thoroughly mix flour, baking powder and salt. Stir into butter mixture. Stir in vanilla and water. Stir in coconut and nuts. Spread into well greased and floured square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Do not over bake. Cut into squares while still warm. Recipe may be doubled.
