OVEN SWISS STEAK 
1 1/2 lbs. round steak, cut in pieces
1 tsp. salt
16 oz. can tomatoes, cut up
1 sliced bell pepper
1/4 c. flour
2 tbsp. shortening
1 sliced onion
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Combine flour and salt; pound 2 tablespoons of the mixture into meat. Brown meat on both sides in hot shortening. Transfer meat to a 12 x 7 x 2 inch baking dish. Blend remaining 2 tablespoons flour mixture into pan drippings. Stir in undrained tomatoes, onion, bell pepper, and Worcestershire. Cook and stir till thickened and bubbly; pour over meat. Bake, covered, at 350 degrees till tender, about 1 hour and 20 minutes. Makes 6 servings.
