NANNY'S BAKED INDIAN PUDDING 
5 c. milk
2/3 c. dark molasses
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 c. yellow cornmeal
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 tsp. nutmeg
4 tbsp. butter

Heat 4 cups milk and add remaining ingredients. Cook 20 minutes on top of stove or until mixture thickens. Pour into baking dish. Pour 1 cup cold milk over. Do not stir. Bake in slow oven (300 degrees) 3 hours without stirring. Serve warm with cream, ice cream or hard sauce. Serves 10.
