1 c. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/4 c. sugar
4 eggs
3 c. flour
1 can pie filling

Cream butter and sugar. Add 1 egg at a time and beat. Blend in remaining ingredients. Spread 2/3 of batter in jelly roll pan. Spread pie filling on top of batter, and dot remaining batter on top of the pie filling. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 25-30 minutes. Drizzle with a powdered sugar frosting after bars have cooled.
