SOUR CREAM GRAVY WITH DUMPLINGS 
1 chicken
Onion
1 tbsp. paprika
1/4 c. flour
1 carton sour cream

Boil chicken in water with onion and salt; save 2 cups broth. Debone chicken or not as you wish. Bring 2 cups broth to boil and add 1 tablespoon paprika and thicken broth with about 1/4 cup flour in small amount of water. Add giblets and chicken if you have deboned it. Last, add 1 carton sour cream and heat, but do not boil.

DUMPLINGS:

2 c. flour
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 c. milk
2 tsp. baking powder
Salt
2 slices bread, diced

Mix dry ingredients; stir in milk and eggs. Add the 2 slices of diced bread; bread must be completely covered by dough or they will be soggy. Boil in salted water for 20 minutes (10 minutes covered and 10 minutes uncovered). This makes 2 dumplings. Cut them open and slice immediately after you take them out of water or they will get soggy.
