1 c. flour 1 egg 3 tbsp. sour cream 2 tbsp. water Salt and pepper 1 c. mashed potatoes 3/4 lb. ground beef Mix together cottage cheese and mashed potatoes or sauerkraut and ground beef. Brown ground beef; add sauerkraut and simmer until done. The ground beef and sauerkraut are used in place of the cottage cheese and potato mixture for the filling, if you prefer. Mix ingredients - flour, egg, sour cream, water and salt. Knead into a dough. Refrigerate about 30 minutes. Roll dough and cut into 5 inch circles or use a donut cutter. Butter along edges and add cheese and potatoes (mostly cheese), salt, pepper, make a turnover and seal with fork. Drop in boiling water carefully. Then after they come to top - strain and place in skillet with butter and chopped onions until slightly browned. |
