CREAM CHEESE POUND CAKE 
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
3 sticks butter
3 c. sugar
3 c. self-rising flour
6 eggs
1 tsp. almond extract

Cream butter and cream cheese. Add sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time. Then add flour and extract. Pour into greased tube pan and bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Ice with Cream Cheese Icing.

CREAM CHEESE ICING:

1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/4 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted powdered sugar
1 tsp. almond extract

In a mixer bowl beat together cream cheese, butter and vanilla until light and fluffy. Gradually add powdered sugar, beating until smooth. Spread over cooled cake; sprinkle with chopped nuts if desired. Frosts two 8 or 9 inch layers. Double recipe for tube cake.
