EUNICE'S RUM CAKE 
1 c. chopped walnuts
1 pkg. yellow cake mix with pudding
1/3 c. vegetable oil (olive)
3 eggs
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. dark rum

Prepare cake mix according to box directions plus adding the 1/2 cup of dark rum. First place the nuts in a bundt pan. Pour the cake batter into the pan. Bake for 1 hour in a preheated 350 degree oven. Remove from oven and cool for about 5 minutes and turn over onto a cake plate. Prick top with a fork.

GLAZE:

1/4 lb. or 1 stick butter butter
1/4 c. water
1/2 c. dark rum
1 c. sugar

Put water, sugar, and butter in a pot and slowly bring to a boil for 5 minutes (watch closely, do not let mixture crystalize). Remove from heat and add 1/2 cup of rum. Pour this glaze over the cake.
