HAMBURGER AND RICE PATTIES 
1 lb. hamburger
1/4 c. raw rice
1 tbsp. salt
1 egg
1 sm. diced onion
1 qt. (or lg. can) tomatoes

Combine hamburger, rice, salt, onion and egg. Form into patties. Saute until meat browns in large frying pan (electric skillet is ideal!). Pour tomatoes over and cook on low for 30 minutes. Great to make patties ahead and refrigerate until ready to cook. These with rolls make a good quick meal.
