GERMAN BLITZ TORTE 
3/4 c. powdered sugar
1/2 c. butter
4 beaten egg yolks
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. cake flour
3 tbsp. top milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Slivered Brazil nuts

TOPPING:

4 egg whites
1 c. granulated sugar

Cream butter, sugar and slowly add other ingredients. Spread dough in 3 layer cake pans. Now beat egg whites stiff, add sugar and spread mix over cake dough. Sprinkle top with nuts. Bake in 350 degree oven until golden brown. Remove from pan and when cool, put layers together with any lemon filling. Meringue will make sufficient decoration for top.
