SUKIYAKI 
3/4 lb. round steak
1/2 lb. sm. can sliced mushrooms
1 mild onion
3 stalks celery
1 can bamboo shoots
3 tbsp. sugar
1 can water chestnuts
1/3 c. soy sauce
1 chicken bouillon cube
1/2 c. hot water
3 c. young spinach leaves, or broccoli

Cut steak across grain into very thin slices. Slice mushrooms, onion, celery; drain bamboo shoots and water chestnuts. Brown meat quickly in oiled heavy frying pan; add ingredients except spinach or broccoli; simmer 10 minutes. Add vegetable; cook 5 minutes longer. Makes 4 servings, with rice.
