1/2 c. butter flavored Crisco
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda

Cream together Crisco and peanut butter until fluffy. Add sugars, mix well. Add egg and vanilla. Stir together flour, salt and soda. Add to peanut butter mixture. Mix well. Shape dough into balls. Place on lightly greased or Pam sprayed cookie sheet. Criss cross with fork dipped in water. Bake 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Yield: 3-4 dozen.
