GRANDMA'S DELICIOUS GINGERBREAD 
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup shortening (Crisco)
2 eggs
3/4 cup molasses (Grandma's)
2 3/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup buttermilk or dairy sour cream

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Mix sugar, shortening, eggs and molasses well. Add flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon and salt; add alternately with buttermilk or dairy sour cream.

Bake at 350°F for 35 to 40 minutes.
