MASTER MIX 
5 lbs. flour
2 1/2 c. powdered milk
3/4 c. double-acting baking powder
2 lbs. vegetable shortening
2 tbsp. cream of tartar
1/2 c. sugar
3 tbsp. salt

Stir all ingredients together, except for shortening, in large container (Tupperware). Cut in shortening like pie crust. Store at room temperature in covered container. Makes great pancakes, biscuits, waffles, etc. Use like you would Bisquick.

Hi Pat,

The freezer might affect the baking powder so it's best to keep it in a cool dry place, just as you would store-bought biscuit mix.
