CHOCOLATE ICING | |
Very good 6 oz. pkg. Nestles (semi sweet) chocolate chips 1 stick Blue Bonnet butter 1 sm. can Carnation milk 1 1/2 c. sugar 3 egg yolks 1 c. chopped pecans 1 tsp. vanilla Melt butter and chocolate chips in heavy pot. Add 1 small can milk and sugar, cook for a few minutes. Take out little of chocolate and stir in egg yolks and return to other chocolate. Let it boil. Stir in 1 cup pecans, and let boil for about 15 minutes or until kind of thick. Remove from heat and add 1 teaspoon vanilla, won't be very thick until it gets cold, put on cake layers while cake and icing are both warm. |
