CALIFORNIA CASSEROLE 
2 lbs. ground beef
1 med. onion
1 pkg. California mixed vegetables
1 c. rice
1 can each of cream of chicken & mushroom soup
2 cans milk
1 can water
1 stick butter
Velveeta, about 1 1/2" hunk

Brown hamburger with onion; drain. Put ground beef mixture into 9"x13" pan. Layer rice and vegetables over meat. Heat soup, milk, water and pour over first layers. Melt Velveeta with enough milk to dissolve it, pour over top. Bake 60 to 70 minutes at 350 degrees.
