BLONDE BROWNIES 
2 2/3 c. sifted flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. butter
2 1/4 c. brown sugar (packed)
3 eggs
1 c. chopped nuts
12 oz. pkg. chocolate bits

Grease 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1 inch pan.

Sift dry ingredients together. In large saucepan melt butter; stir in brown sugar, cool 10 minutes. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in flour mixture, nuts, chocolate pieces until well blended. Spread in pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until center springs back when lightly touched. Cool. Cut into 2 inch squares. Makes 3 dozen.
