CHOCOLATE CHIP BLOND BROWNIES 
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. chopped nuts
2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. butter (oil)
2 eggs slightly beaten
1 pkg. (6 oz.) Baker's semi-sweet chocolate chips

Sift flour once, measure and add baking powder, soda and salt. Sift again. Add nuts and mix well. Melt butter (I use oil), add sugar and mix well. Cool and add eggs and vanilla. Add flour mixture a little at a time and mix well after each addition. Turn into greased 9x9x2 pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips over the top. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
