2/3 c. butter
2 c. packed brown sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. hot water
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. chocolate chips

Melt butter, add hot water and brown sugar (use pan butter is melted in to mix brownies). Cool slightly. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Spread in greased 9"x13" pan. Sprinkle with chocolate chips. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool slightly and cut into squares. The chocolate chips can be stirred into the batter as well, whichever you prefer. Delicious.
